Rogue Co. Dance Company’s newest evening-length show, “with(out) dissonance,” explores the dichotomy of perception and communication. What external and internal factors shape our perceptions and reactions?
“with(out) dissonance” explores the multitude of ways our perception and communication can agree or disagree. At times we find harmony in what we tell ourselves and what we tell others, but often we find dissonance between the truth and what we convey. How do we work through the web inside of our minds to understand actuality? Throughout this work, we examine moments when our thoughts and actions are misaligned and question our ability to communicate authentically.
